About
Jacob Wright is a 24-year-old singer and songwriter from the deserts of Arizona with a story that runs deep through his music. Adopted into a devout Mormon family and raised alongside sisters of different heritages, Jacob grew up navigating questions of identity, faith, and belonging. Jacob gives voice to people who feel disserved by the systems and beliefs they were raised within, and his music is a reflection and excavation of the experiences that shaped him.
After attending BYU for a semester, Jacob found himself at a crossroads between pretending the Mormon beliefs he was taught were true, and facing the understanding that they were not. At 21, he dropped out of BYU and moved to LA, where he signed to Handmade Records to pursue music on his own terms. In 2025, Jacob hit the road, touring with Evan Honer before releasing his EP Face Paint that November, which has since accumulated more than 300,000 streams on Spotify.
Drawing inspiration from artists such as Dijon, Zach Bryan, and Harry Styles, Jacob’s music is earnest, eclectic, and anthemic. Now, Jacob is teaming up with producers Chris “Dixie” Darley and Dan Bailey of Father John Misty to realize what Jacob Wright sounds like in 2026.
At just 24, Jacob’s songwriting confronts universal challenges: heartbreak, faith, and the complicated intersections of identity. In a commercial music landscape awaiting artists that openly wrestle with those heavy questions, Jacob Wright is an artist worth following.
